Lesson #102

I realized friends come and go

Why though?

Friends have a bond like no other

We were always there for each other

But things between us changed

When you called my lover

Your brother

I would always confide in you

Until my relationship turned blue

Somehow I was to blame

“Kayla you hurt him,”  You proclaimed

I was hurting too

I could understand losing him, but why you

I needed you here

But you disappeared

For what

Why pick sides

I don’t recall you being there for all the other bad times

But you did pick sides

Probably for your own benefit

For reasons that were illegitimate

I guess that’s why things had to end

So we stopped being friends

Isn’t it funny, how we depend on those

In the most convenient times

Especially when you’re trying to find

What defines and reminds you

Of yourself without him

But of course

You decided to over-extend your role

Something quite frankly that wasn’t bestowed

“I’ll do something you have not done:

Grow”

I realized friends come and go

Why though

Because you were never really a friend

Just a foe

In disguise, you tried to hide

But don’t worry next time,

I won’t be so blind

I deserve real friends who will support me

That I will guarantee

Friends who will stick by me

Without any reason to flee

When I needed your discretion

You gave me aggression, suppression and a new lesson

Instead of me confronting you

I have a new point of view

I know I will be fine

You were just a fake friend that crossed the line
